The view from lunch at Hotel Eden’s garden patio restaurant
Of all the Rooftop Bars and restaurants in Rome, it’s the open, airy garden patio at the Hotel Eden that is my favorite.

With a prime location just off Via Veneto on Via Ludovisi 49, Hotel Eden’s rooftop has been subdivided into three prime spaces. The lovely rooftop garden restaurant, the posh indoor Bar la Terrazza which has sweeping views… and serves Cristal champagne by the glass as well as Remy Martin The Louis XIII Cognac, and the gorgeous, award-winning La Terrazza dell’Eden restaurant, which has the most epic views of the Eternal City.
I’ve stayed at the Eden before and it’s one of my favorite hotels in Rome. It’s a classic and for this trip, my husband and I popped by to get a romantic lunch at in the rooftop garden restaurant, Il Giardino dell’Eden. It’s view is amazeballs, and the food delicious. The restaurant’s summer menu was filled with classic Roman fare.

I feasted on hummus with prawns squid (€ 28.00), Amatriciana rigatoni with tomato sauce, Pecorino cheese and bacon (26.00), and drank Pinot Grigio by the glass. It’s sky high fine dining, but getting lunch here is a great way to experience the Eden if the hotel’s room rate is out of your budget.
The Eden’s rooftop is just as lovely at night, where you can enjoy a nightcap and a cigar on the outdoor patio. The crowd is always glamorous, which makes it a fun spot to people watch.

The glamorous glass-enclosed La Terrazza Bar is also on the rooftop. It’s got a killer wine list and you can order Cristal by the glass. Or you can indulge in pour of Remy Martin Louis XIII cognac for € 150.

Around the corner, the best panoramic views are in the sublime La Terrazza dell’Eden dining room. The restaurant has won awards too numerous to count, but is Italian fine dining with outstanding views of Rome’s seven hills, and overlooking the Villa Maraini and the city below.

The Hotel Eden is one of Rome’s classic luxury accommodations. When I checked for a random date, room rates at The Hotel Eden started at € 340.
