On my recent trip to New Mexico, I spent some time in Albuquerque at the Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm, which was a surprise patch of bucolic loveliness not far from Albuquerque’s Old Town. It was nice to get a little history of Albuquerque in by visiting this historical farm and Inn.

Located on 25 acres, Los Poblanos is working organic farm (where lavender is the specialty) as well as historic 1932 mansion-turned-Cultural Center. The property features 20 guest rooms as well as a farm shop and restaurant that is open to non-guests on certain days called La Merienda.
While the grounds seem best suited to special events like weddings or corporate retreats, Los Poblanos also offers Field to Fork Dining nights, focusing on seasonal local produce from New Mexico.

The Los Pablanos grounds were delightful to wander around, and I found myself particularly charmed by The Rose Greely Garden- an overgrown patch of garden that was funky, charming, and a special places to wander.
Here are some of my favorite pictures of the Rose Greely Garden.
